The Cool Cam HDV has a larger, taller camera basket to accommodate most HDV Camcorders
and certain HD “Box” cameras.
The camera head features a motorized Pan /Tilt system for controlled moves.
A joystick controls the head, and a LANC controller handles the DV /HDV camera & lens

Like all CoolCams, the HDV is a robust and durable crane with a telescopic boom. It is mountable on a standard camera tripod (40 Lb minimum load capacity) and wearable on the included body harness. Switching from to the other is quick & easy.

The CoolCam is self powered. The on board batteries also serve as part of the counterweight system. The Cool Cam Control Unit powers the pan /tilt head and the included LCD monitor. Using appropriate regulators and adapters, it is also possible to power some camcorders. The CC-CU also distributes video from the camera to the monitor with a second output for a producer’s monitor or a wireless video transmitter, which can also be mounted on board.
